Utoo Radio with Other News Sources - February 11 2025 - The Juno Awards have not yet decided on the fate of Buffy Sainte-Marie's numerous honours, following her removal from her Order of Canada.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences is consulting with its Indigenous music advisory committee and other Indigenous stakeholders on how to proceed with Sainte-Marie's honours.

The organization has acknowledged the termination of Sainte-Marie's Order of Canada appointment, which was the ninth in the history of the honour.

The organization remains committed to promoting and celebrating Indigenous artists' contributions to the Canadian music industry.
